On many ocasions we have commented that there is no need to leave Spain to enjoy really beautiful places. One is Guipúzcoa, a place where the river has a key role Urola. Among the many villages and towns of Guipuzcoa, there is one that we recommend.  Zestoa centenary villa is one of the places worth visiting, where nineteenth century nobles came from all parts of the country for the waters of  the Cestona springs, rumored to have curative powers.

The dog of the Marquis de San Illán has much to do with this story. According to popular tradition, was cured of a skin disease he suffered due to drinking of such water. Gradually, the nobles and people ikustres who came to the area made it necessary to their growth. So many hotels were built.

Of these, today there are some abandoned hotels, which together with the landscape, gives a melancholy air to this area perfect for travelers who enjoy nature and landscapes.

The spa Cestona has an entry garden, a grill and a huge towering lobby that reminds us of a past in which the elite who visited him he was not content with less. Its Great Hall was the ideal space for large dances that took place in the spa and enjoying  both at the time, and does not lack detail: mirrors, a chandelier, a balcony for the orchestra …
